The Government of the Canary Islands brings the popular singer and actress to Fitur
The Mexican singer and actress, Paulina Rubio, will present her upcoming concert tour on the Islands tomorrow, Thursday, February 1, starting at 12:00 p.m., at the Canary Islands pavilion at Fitur 2007. Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Tenerife will enjoy the performance of the popular singer who will thrill the audience of the Islands at the end of February with her latest album Ananda.
In addition to her music, Paulina Rubio has achieved great popularity in Spain for her participation in numerous television programs. The singer will be present at what is one of the most important tourism fairs internationally, specifically, in the Canary Islands pavilion. In addition, the Ministry of Tourism has contracted with the singer a tour of concerts around the Islands, "this being a scoop that will attract numerous public and press from around the world, which will serve, in turn, as a great promotion of the Canary Islands taking advantage of this immense international showcase that is Fitur", says the Minister of Tourism, Manuel Fajardo Feo.
The album Ananda was presented last September; a work that features the participation of singers Coti, Juanes and Julieta Venegas. Paulina Rubio is determined to conquer markets in Europe and Asia. "I want to return to the contact with the soul of everyone and I am looking forward to start the tour of concerts around the world with a show that no one has done and through this connect with people," said the singer.
Her latest work quickly positioned itself at number one on several album charts in Latin America, the United States and Spain. Her first single, entitled Ni una sola palabra, also reached number one in several Spanish-speaking countries and even on the American charts.
On the other hand, Paulina Rubio has starred in outstanding actions in her country such as her participation in the elections in Mexico held last year with the intention of promoting the vote of youth.
