The general secretary of the PSOE of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, has shown her firm rejection of the use of the Prosecutor's Office for political campaigns with false accusations and has expressed her indignation at the statements that place her as a defendant.
"It is intolerable that lies are told about my procedural situation. I am neither investigated nor indicted," said Corujo, who explained that she will voluntarily appear, when summoned by the Prosecutor's Office, accompanied by a lawyer "to guarantee my right to defense against false accusations, lacking any foundation."
For Corujo, maliciously and falsely attributing the condition of defendant to her clearly demonstrates the objective of this complaint: "They intend to use the Prosecutor's Office as a political weapon in their electoral campaign, preparing for May 2027."
The socialist leader concluded by expressing her conviction that this complaint will not prosper: "I have total confidence that the investigation by the Prosecutor's Office will fully accredit the legality of my actions."
