The mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, has restructured some of the areas of the City Council. Specifically, Duque has decided to transfer the areas of Economy and Finance, which she managed herself, to Javier Díaz, secretary of the Local Committee of the Canarian Coalition in the municipality.

For his part, Culture, which was managed by Díaz, will now pass to councilor Andoni Machín, who will also be in charge of Sociocultural Centers and Transportation. In addition, the area of New Technologies and Municipal Radio, which was directed by Machín, will pass to Javier Díaz.

Likewise, Díaz will also manage the coordination of subsidies and, according to the councilor, his intention is to "focus on this part and on transportation to help these sectors".

This change has been made to "improve the functioning of the government group, specifically the part of the Canarian Coalition, and it has been a consensual decision of the colleagues to try to improve the functioning of the group, we have seen that we could improve in different things", explained councilor Javier Díaz to La Voz.
