Nueva Canarias already appears in the registry of parties of the Ministry of the Interior with the name Nueva Canarias-Bloque Canarista, after being excluded for not adapting its statutes as required by law, through a ruling of the Central Court of Administrative Litigation 5 of the National Court.
The date of the new registration is August 30 and it states that the logo of Nueva Canarias-Bloque Canarista will be formed "by a circle with a green background, with a capital N inside with a white background, and below, or next to it, the name of the formation".
In mid-August, the Secretary of Organization, Carmelo Ramírez, advanced that administrative steps were being taken "to re-register in the registry of parties as Nueva Canarias".
Ramírez then blamed an "internal oversight" for not having submitted the accounts to the Ministry of the Interior, prioritizing the presentation of the electoral accounts.
He also said that "the basis" of the ruling that led to the expulsion from the registry of parties "was not the non-submission of the accounts, but the non-adaptation of the party's statutes." "Something we did recently after the congresses of 2017 and 2022," he added.
"Nothing reached the party's leadership and we did not find out about the opening of the judicial file," Ramírez lamented at the time.
