A resident of Lanzarote has sent La Voz de Lanzarote a citizen complaint accompanied by a video showing what she considers a new example of abuse by active tourism companies, specifically quads, on the island's roads.

In the images, recorded on the stretch between Guatiza and Teguise, you can see how a large group of these vehicles completely occupies an intersection, preventing passage and blocking the road. According to the complainant, one of the group's guides even told her to move forward in the opposite direction, creating a risky situation and clearly violating traffic regulations.

“They appropriated public space recklessly, demonstrating a total lack of respect for safety and for those of us who live here,” laments the author of the video, visibly outraged.

The neighbor assures that this type of behavior is increasingly frequent, especially on routes frequented by tourist companies that operate with quads and buggies. She also denounces the passivity of the authorities: “The most worrying thing is the feeling of impunity. This happens every day and nobody does anything.”

Through this complaint, she makes a call to both citizens and public administrations to take action: “We ask for controls, sanctions and stricter regulation of these activities, which far from integrating respectfully, degrade coexistence and the environment.”

Finally, the reader says: “Enough is enough! Lanzarote cannot continue to be a theme park for a few. It is our home, not an adventure circuit.”
