The candidate of Nueva Canarias-Frente Amplio Canarista for mayor of Teguise, Fernando Jiménez, has proposed that the municipality have a "hybrid or electric intercity bus that connects the entire town of Costa Teguise on its route with a circular circuit of the area that goes from end to end and whose route includes the Las Caletas area at the beginning and concludes in the vicinity of Los Ancones", the party advances.
Jiménez explains that the town of Costa Teguise needs a "Comprehensive Shadow Plan for playgrounds and educational centers".
“It is unusual that there are so few shaded areas in this important population center, where no consideration has even been given to the care of the conditions in which our children, adolescents and young people study or play,” he says.
Fernando Jiménez acknowledges that, “another fundamental and priority action that Costa Teguise urgently requires is the improvement of the cleanliness and hygiene of public gardens and common areas.” “These points have had a painful image for years and today what we are projecting with these conditions is regrettable, both for reasons of health and aesthetics,” says the candidate.
The Canaristas also warn of another of the most obvious shortcomings of the municipality, "the creation of a walking and fun area for pets."
“If there is a municipality in all of Lanzarote that has free land to be able to cede and create infrastructure, that is Teguise, and of course, if we are elected councilors, we are going to work so that Costa Teguise, in addition to boasting of being "pet-friendly", is consistent with that appointment and has pet areas,” says Jiménez.
“Due to its particularities, its population and other circumstances, the population center of Costa Teguise requires special care and maximum respect," he argues.
It is an area whose residents "do not deserve the apathy and neglect with which they have been treated in recent years," he makes clear. Nor does it require "large pharaonic works, but rather special treatment and permanent attention to its inhabitants,” says the candidate.
"That they feel oriented by the municipal services"
“The idea is that the residents of Costa Teguise feel advised and guided by the municipal services, in coordination with the rest of the areas of the City Council,” indicates Jiménez.
