Lanzarote will host next June the fourth edition of the project Erasmus Canario - Lanzarote 2026: Breaking Barriers, an initiative promoted by the Social Association Creciendo, which has the collaboration of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and the educational community, and which will bring together more than 80 young people with functional diversity from different parts of the Canary archipelago on the island.
During the presentation event, the Minister of Education, Ascensión Toledo, highlighted the educational and training component of the program, emphasizing that this project "allows for the creation of real spaces for learning, coexistence, and exchange among young people from different islands, fostering fundamental values such as inclusion and respect." She also pointed out that "these types of initiatives help to raise societal awareness and continue building a more accessible and participatory education, where diversity is understood as a richness and not as a limitation."

"From the Social Welfare Area, we continue to promote initiatives linked to our Insular Strategy for Accessibility and Inclusion."
