"The Job Position List (RPT) must go ahead by law." This was explained this Wednesday by the Councilor for Human Resources of the Cabildo, Juan Santana, who assured that in its elaboration the unions have reached an agreement, thus reducing the importance of the conversations that four sectors of Cabildo employees are holding.

Specifically, the workers of the fire department, the health and social services personnel, the workers of the Tourist Centers and the employees of the Music Conservatory held a first meeting this Monday, thus joining together in the midst of their demands to face together the government group of the Corporation, and try to stop the approval of the Job Position List. In this regard, Juan Santana explained that the text of the RPT is fundamental because "it establishes the number of workers, the qualifications they must have or the money they have to earn, preventing personnel from being chosen by hand".

However, the head of personnel said that employees belonging to the autonomous bodies of the First Institution cannot be part of this RPT, as is the case, among others, of the workers of the Insular Hospital or the Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism.

The president of the Cabildo, Inés Rojas, referred to the fact that until now the elaboration of the document has been marked by consensus "and we hope that it will be so in the plenary session as well." Inés Rojas also explained that once the text is approved, about two hundred suggestions can be collected to improve it.

CONFLICT

One of the groups of employees that are currently in conflict over the negotiation of their collective agreement is that of the Tourist Centers. Thus, regarding the notice of strike raised, the president of the Island Corporation expressed her concern. In addition, Inés Rojas recalled that many sectors point to the dangers that this measure would entail "because it can happen as in the Iberia strike that we are now paying the consequences".
