Haría celebrates the V Meeting of Traditional Markets of the Canary Islands

The meeting, organized by the Federation of Canary Islands Markets, brought together more than 500 participants to share and collaborate on future projects and challenges facing the sector

The Haría City Council, through the Department of Commerce, led by Nuria Acuña, was present at the celebration of the V Meeting of Traditional Markets of the Canary Islands last weekend in Tenerife, to strengthen and recognize the primary sector and local production of the municipality.

The mayor, Alfredo Villalba, emphasized the need for collaboration between institutions to understand and promote the professional development of municipal markets and street markets. "These are places for the promotion and advancement of our crafts and economy," he pointed out.

For her part, the head of the Area, Nuria Acuña, emphasized that the event highlighted the value of these spaces in promoting culture, tradition, customs, zero-kilometer products, and the work of the self-employed."We are the only market that opens daily, with six stalls and becoming a benchmark at the island level: fishmonger, butcher, fruits and vegetables, organic store, confectionery, and restaurant," he assured
