León Fajardo didn't mince words when denouncing that the delegates of Comisiones Obreras who called the handling services strike "weak and adventurous" are domesticated by the Iberia Management. The spokesperson for the Strike Committee said with certainty that it is a blatant and coordinated strategy in the face of today's meeting between the conflicting parties and the General Directorate of Labor to weaken the position of the strikers.
Fajardo narrated that Jorge Carrillo, secretary of the State Executive of the Air Sector of CCOO, went down to the airport's baggage claim area with the intention of speaking with the workers and "no one paid attention to him".
The union leader also stated in an interview granted to Radio Lanzarote that the airport director, Dionisio Canomanuel, is hiding from certain news media in order not to give explanations of what is happening at the air base, although he thinks he has his reasons. "Those who maintain a critical attitude are vetoed," he commented.
