The Working Commission on Population and Coexistence has started its meetings, agreeing on a schedule of actions that will include the analysis of reports related to the labor field, the analysis of the impact of the presence of foreigners, the level of saturation of public services, as well as a demographic study of Lanzarote, by municipalities and population centers.
The results of these analyses, together with those of the conflict in educational centers, the percentages of foreign students in schools, the places and services of the dining room, the rate of crimes related to coexistence or situations of illegal work, will be invested in the elaboration of an opinion or proposal that will be presented to the Council of the Biosphere Reserve next September.
In addition, the Commission has agreed to invite non-governmental groups and associations to develop projects related to solidarity and tolerance. The next meeting, where all the documentation will be presented, will be held on June 21.
