The Councilor for Education and Culture of the Arrecife City Council, Abigail González, has congratulated the Compulsory Education Center (CEO) of Argana for its project Collaborative schools facing the new challenges of the 21st century from full inclusion, innovation and creativity and has valued the center's commitment to educational innovation.
This project, approved by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, brings together five educational centers committed to excellence and educational transformation, from different regions of Spain. CEO Argana is hosting from this past Tuesday, April 9 to Thursday, April 11, to put into practice common projects designed jointly, addressing the essential pillars of the new Organic Law modifying the Organic Law of Education (LOMLOE).
The capital's head of Education and Culture attended as a guest to the welcome ceremony to the rest of the centers and presented several batches of books. Thus, González has pointed out that "21st century education requires initiatives that promote inclusion, innovation and creativity, and this project is an inspiring example of this. We must recognize the great work done by CEO Argana, and we congratulate them for their commitment to quality education and for being a benchmark in the implementation of innovative practices in the educational field, as are the rest of the participating educational centers."
The project, with a duration of two courses and seven teacher mobilities, includes the participation of the following centers: CEIP Flor de Azahar from Málaga, CEIP Miquel Porcel from Palma de Mallorca, CEIP Lluís Vives from Valencia, CEIP Diputación Provincial from Zaragoza and CEIP María Sanz De Sautola from Santander.
CEO Argana assumes a fundamental role in this project by delving into the Universal Design for Learning (UDL). This theoretical-practical approach promotes quality inclusive education.
In addition, as part of the initiative, a visit will be made to CEIP Costa Teguise, distinguished with the distinction of excellence to innovative educational centers of the Government of the Canary Islands, where educational practices will be shared from a UDL approach with the rest of the visiting centers.
