The president of the Canarian Coalition, Claudina Morales, has this Wednesday on Radio Lanzarote opted for a CC-PSOE pact in the Government of the Canary Islands and has defended that this agreement be extended to the rest of the institutions of the Archipelago. "The priority is to give stability to the maximum number of institutions with the PSOE", Morales assured, who, however, has recognized that she does not know if this will be possible in all administrations, since there are "many difficulties". However, she wanted to make it clear that this is "the roadmap" that the nationalist formation has set for itself.
Claudina Morales has indicated that this possible pact that both political forces are trying to seal "will give stability and help the Canary Islands to get out of the crisis". For this reason, she has advocated that this same agreement be reissued in the rest of the institutions of the Canary Islands, also in Lanzarote, where there are detractors to this alliance within CC, especially for the Cabildo.
"I think the difficulties are clear, it is not always easy. Each institution has its history. But there are possibilities of reaching understandings, because the stability of the institutions is paramount and, therefore, I believe that we can reach agreements in most of the institutions", said the president of CC in the Canary Islands, who assured that "the will on the part of the two political formations is to work in this sense".
Claudina Morales has avoided making a direct reference to Lanzarote and has only limited herself to saying that the island's Cabildo "has its history and the political forces have their relations", which in some cases make the pact "easy" and in others "difficult". "Does that mean that we abandon the idea of giving stability to the rest of the institutions? Well, no. We are aware that it is difficult in some of them but that does not mean that we stop trying, because we do not want to give up this pact", she said. In this sense, she has once again remarked that "those difficulties" they will try to "save" and "remedy" in the cases in which it "can be done".
Claudina Morales has also advocated for closing this agreement between CC and PSOE "as soon as possible". "It is good to do it as quickly as possible, so that the institutions can start working now. We are going to start working and I hope that the conversations that take place will bear fruit, the sooner the better", she said.
