Ciudadanos (Cs) has demanded this Thursday "an urgent solution to the collapse of septic tanks in La Graciosa, especially in Caleta del Sebo", a fact that the orange formation assures "is generating numerous problems on the island".
This was expressed by the coordinator of the local group of Cs in Teguise, Antonio Becerra, who said that "the neighbors have transferred numerous complaints to Cs, because "they are living an unsustainable situation in their homes and in the bars, as well as in the streets due to the poor condition of the sewage system".
"The residents of La Graciosa suffer the collapse of septic tanks on a recurring basis," said Becerra, who has asked the local corporation "to provide unblocking trucks to proceed with the cleaning of the black wells and the relief of the tanks, since, as the residents say, the council has not offered any solution to their numerous requests."
Finally, Ciudadanos has also requested the City Council of Teguise to "demand that the Government of the Canary Islands continue with the investments destined to the sewage works on the island", since "the regional Executive was halfway in this aspect and the sanitation problems only increase".
