Coalición Canaria de Lanzarote presented its candidacies for the Parliament of the Canary Islands, the Island Council of Lanzarote and the Arrecife City Council on Thursday night at the Altavista Society. At the top of the list for the Parliament of the Canary Islands for Coalición Canaria de Lanzarote, Mario Pérez, assured that "I am tremendously proud of the team that accompanies me on the list to the regional Chamber. They are a group of men and women committed to our land, and who will work for and for Lanzarote and for the Canary Islands."
Pérez declared that "Coalición Canaria can boast of not being in the courts, and that it works for society. We have not been chosen to be on the electoral list 2,000 kilometers away. They choose us here, in our land. They don't give us orders from Madrid, nor do they supervise us from outside. This political party is the only one that can say that we fight for our people and for our land, from home."
For the also president of Coalición Canaria de Lanzarote, "we are the only political force that has done its homework. We have promoted important advances in terms of infrastructure and services. Not only in the Canary Islands have we fought. Also in Madrid, where we are the only force that speaks and defends the Canary Islands."
Pérez highlighted the progress experienced in the Archipelago, in terms of education, social policies, socio-health care and basic infrastructure, since 1993. "We have done it and we will continue to do it, without the need to copy any political program from another force, and much less will we copy another program designed and conceived for another Autonomous Community that is not the Canary Islands. We work, we don't copy. That has always been our objective, and we have embodied it in more than 1,100 measures to continue improving the Canary Islands."
The head of the list for the Parliament of the Canary Islands, presented a list composed of 11 people (5 women and 6 men), which according to CC combine "youth and political experience".
Confidence
For her part, the candidate for the presidency of the Island Council of Lanzarote, Inés Rojas, highlighted that "the list presented by Coalición Canaria to the Cabildo is the one that offers the most and best guarantee that the island corporation will provide the best services to the citizen, thanks to the best managers, who are those of this political force." Rojas asked for the confidence of the electorate to achieve the presidency of the Island Council. "I am not asking for that trust for free. I promise work and an unbeatable management of all resources, so that Lanzarote is better and better."
The also president of the Island Council, highlighted that during the two years they have been in the Cabildo, they have managed to turn the policy around, which has made citizens have greater confidence in their institution. "We have shown that we tell the truth, while others do not stop lying."
The list to the Island Council of Lanzarote, by Coalición Canaria, is composed of 33 people (17 women and 16 men), where the party highlights "the constructive spirit of each and every one of the components, and the combination of youth and experience".
Extraordinary plenary session
To end the event, Coalición Canaria de Lanzarote presented its candidacy to the Arrecife City Council, with María Isabel Déniz at the head. The nationalist defended her work at the head of the Arrecife City Council, where she assured that they have "worked very hard, although others insist on saying that we have done nothing. While others were tired of lying and insulting, we preferred to work."
"The team that accompanies me has shown that it knows how to work. Arrecife has experienced a palpable change, and all this working with a closed mouth. We deserve the best infrastructures and we are achieving that, as we already did with the Arrecife Sports Palace, the Courts, the nurseries, the new Police Station, the Titerroy Health Center, and a very long etcetera. And the others, what have they done, apart from insulting and lying?. I answer. Nothing."
Finally, the mayor of Arrecife was enormously critical of "the lies of many who have said that the mayor is going to tear down the houses of Morro Angelito. That is a lie. They have played with the feelings of an honest and hard-working people." "They have made a simple proposal, an individual decision of the mayor, and I am not going to allow them to do that."
María Isabel Déniz will convene an Extraordinary Plenary Session to suspend the route "proposed" by the drafting team of the Arrecife General Plan, without waiting for the opinion of the rest of the political forces, because "they have dedicated themselves to lying and making false accusations. Coalición Canaria has never considered tearing down the houses of Morro Angelito. Never."
The list to the Arrecife City Council by Coalición Canaria is composed of 29 people (13 women and 16 men), in which the party values "the experience of many, and the youth of the majority".
