The candidate of the Canarian Coalition for the City Council of Tías, Pedro Calero, presented on Monday night at the El Fondeadero Civic Center an electoral list with "modern and innovative" proposals. "We do not intend to bore or be part of the history of politicians from the last century", Calero assured in the presentation of this electoral list.
In this sense, the CC candidate for Mayor of Tías stated that his electoral list is "a 21st century candidacy, with enthusiasm and a desire to demonstrate that a new Tías is possible." Calero lamented during this act the lack of renewal of the candidacies of both the PSOE and the PP, which are once again headed by José Juan Cruz Saavedra and Pancho Hernández.
"We have two candidacies with two candidates from the last century, who are bored and bore us all", he criticized. Calero assured that in the face of this situation, the CC candidacy is the "only one capable of getting Tías out of the quagmire in which it finds itself." "The citizen is faced with a PSOE that is exhausted, and that also exhausts us all a bit, with a government that is already outdated, as well as with a PP as an eternal aspirant in whom the citizens have never trusted, and that from its responsibility has contributed little," stressed the CC candidate.
"Recovering tourist leadership"
Calero also wanted to outline the CC project for Tías and assured that he is committed to "building a municipality that thinks about its neighbors", placing emphasis on employment. "We have to recover tourist leadership and trust our businessmen and give way to entrepreneurs who generate wealth for all," he said.
Calero was convinced that a political change is possible in this City Council. "This can change. The new values of CC in Tías are young and dynamic, close to their people and far from the tiring politics of the dinosaurs that rule in Tías, from the opposition and the government. CC cares about people," he insisted.
The event was attended by prominent public officials such as the island president of CC, Jesús Machín, the Minister of Social Welfare and Housing of the Government of the Canary Islands, Inés Rojas, the president of the Cabildo, Pedro San Ginés, the Secretary of Organization of CC, Marci Acuña, the general director of Tourism Planning and Promotion, Rita Hernández, and the Minister of Minors and Family of the Government of the Canary Islands, Carmen Steinert, as well as the island director of Education, Juan Cruz.
