The Nationalist Group (CC-PNC) in the Cabildo of Lanzarote has denounced that "the management of the Centers for Art, Culture and Tourism (CACT) has been almost a year and a half, that is, just since the pandemic began, without disclosing the collection statistics, stores or restaurants". "A true example of the transparency that President María Dolores Corujo preaches so much", they say ironically from the ranks of CC.
“We do not know the collection of stores, restaurants or tickets, which, as will be recalled, were being sent monthly to the media and public opinion since I assumed the position of Delegate Councilor of the CACT in 2003 and which, suspiciously, stopped being published for the first time 17 years later, in March 2020, coinciding with the beginning of the pandemic,” said the deputy spokesperson for CC-PNC, Pedro San Ginés.
According to the nationalists, "finally it is confirmed the suspicion that everything is a maneuver whose objective has been to hide the true results of the CACT and the millions of euros that have been lost by not applying an ERTE in the public company".
“The purpose has been none other than to try to deceive and then sell to society the existence of alleged benefits, when the stark reality is that we are facing the darkest stage in the history of the Tourist Centers, with unquestionable losses, disguised with results that are clearly manipulated by political decisions,” emphasizes San Ginés.
