"Juan Fernando knows that the federal leadership is at his disposal to try to help in that desire," Blanco said after underlining "our willingness to reach an agreement with CC" and pointing out that both the national leadership of the PSOE and the PSC "are going to make an effort" in this regard.
According to Blanco "it must be the PSC and its candidate" who "set the guidelines" for the dialogue with CC, but if at any time López Aguilar "believes that our participation is necessary" to "reinforce the approach of the negotiation", the Socialist Federal Executive could come out of the background and adopt a more active role.
In this same line, he stressed that the negotiations initiated today by the PSOE and Coalición Canaria "have been opened with frankness and with the desire that they take shape" on the part of his party.
THE PP-CC AGREEMENT
The socialist leader did not even take into consideration the information about a pact between Coalición Canaria and the Partido Popular, because "when you are trying to form a stable government, you do not analyze other hypotheses".
"If I were to be carried away by the media, there would already be a closed agreement for three days," he added after pointing out that "some media want to predetermine the political will of those who have to make decisions".
