A sum of 104,309 euros will be allocated to the Olameda Urban Furniture, located on Avenida Fred Olsen, in Arrecife. It comes from the Ministry of Tourism of the Government of the Canary Islands, and will have co-financing of 75% from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The works, according to the area's councillor, Rita Martín, will allow the protection from the sun and wind and, therefore, have a shaded promenade that refreshes the walker.

"Arrecife will have this structure in a period of 18 months, made with a concrete base in the shape of a wave, the curved wooden beam in the shape of a ship's frame and the wooden slats that serve as a pergola roof, lateral protection and seat base at the same time", specified the Minister of Tourism of the Canary Islands Executive.

The authors of the work have designed a large element of urban furniture that can be placed along any point of the promenade between Punta del Camello and El Cable and where you can rest looking at the sea.

This structure includes the installation of gardening elements, drinking fountains, water sprinklers, bicycle racks or equipment to develop a small gymnastics table, among others.
