The Department of Social Services of the Arrecife City Council announces scholarships to cover the costs of care and education of children from 0 to 3 years old in private kindergartens in 2008 (second semester). These scholarships are subsidized by the Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs of the Government of the Canary Islands and by the Arrecife City Council.
The City Council informs in a press release that the recipients are "families with children from 0 to 3 years old who are registered in Arrecife and who have a family income that prevents them from covering the costs of daycare or who are in social difficulty".
The deadline for submitting applications is from June 10 to 20, both inclusive, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Municipal Social Services Center of the Arrecife City Council, located at Calle General García Escámez nº 114 (behind the Red Cross) and telephone 928 80 71 54. The application form and a copy of the necessary documentation can be obtained at the same place.
