The Department of Cleaning of the Arrecife City Council, led by Jacobo Lemes, continues to advance in its plan to modernize urban cleaning with the installation of 23 new Omega model trash cans of 120 liters in various roads in the city center.
This action, which began this Thursday, is part of a comprehensive plan to improve the cleanliness and public appearance of the municipality, replacing obsolete or damaged trash cans as part of the general remodeling of street furniture for waste collection.
The new trash cans, made of linear polyethylene, will be strategically located in high-traffic areas such as Avenida Marítima, Calle Real, and Plazuela, among others. Their modern and functional design, with an input mouth height of 900 mm to ensure accessibility, complements the urban environment and makes it easier for citizens to properly dispose of waste.
“We are making a significant effort to modernize Arrecife's cleaning infrastructure," said Jacobo Lemes, who emphasizes that “these new trash cans, along with the solar compactors we installed a few weeks ago, contribute to creating a cleaner, more accessible, and sustainable city.”
It should be remembered that, approximately three weeks ago, the Department of Cleaning installed 13 solar compactor trash cans at key points in the city. These innovative units, equipped with filling sensors, optimize the collection frequency thanks to their automatic compaction system.
“In the Department of Cleaning, we are committed to the well-being of our residents and the image of our city, so we will continue working to offer an efficient and quality cleaning service, adapted to the needs of Arrecife,” adds the councilor.
