The Department of Festivities of the Tías City Council has organized a grand parade to accompany the three Wise Men who will arrive on the island this weekend and will travel both the Central Avenue of Tías and Puerto del Carmen.
A retinue formed by several camels, decorated floats, Disney characters and numerous extras will accompany Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar during their tour. Likewise, the parade will be enlivened by the Charanga Los Gruñones, in its opening, where many kilos of sweets will be distributed among all the children attending.
On Saturday, January 5, the eve of the Epiphany holiday, the reception of Their Majesties the Three Wise Men from the East will take place in the center of Tías starting at 6:00 p.m. and the parade will travel along the new Central Avenue and Libertad and La Luchada streets, in the direction of the Tías Municipal Sports Center, where the Tías City Council has scheduled the reception and delivery of letters to the Kings.
Later, starting at 7:30 p.m., the parade will move to La Tiñosa, where Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar will begin their journey on Teide Street towards El Varadero Square. There you will meet with the little ones to collect their letters and, later, the retinue will continue its journey along the Avenida de Las Playas in Puerto del Carmen.
