Lanzarote has added three new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the last day, leaving a total accumulated of 74. However, this Thursday four new discharges were also registered, so the active cases are 63.
Regarding the situation of these patients, 47 do not have serious symptoms and continue in their homes, where they are being monitored; while the other 16 are admitted to the Molina Orosa Hospital, seven of them on the ward and nine in the ICU.
Since the beginning of this health crisis, three people have died in Lanzarote - the last one two weeks ago - and eight have been discharged after overcoming the disease.
As for the number of confirmed cases, it has been kept practically stable in the last week, with several days without adding new cases or confirming only one. Now, in the last day three more have been confirmed, after 42 tests were carried out on Thursday.
Of these 42 analyses, a good part corresponded to patients who had already been diagnosed for days, and who are re-tested to determine if they have overcome the disease. Thus, together with the three new positives, another six were received from people who had already been diagnosed and who continue without being discharged.
