Last Friday, the murga Los Intoxicados from the sailor neighborhood of Valterra held their presentation at the Victor Fernández Gopar "El Salinero" theater. With a completely full capacity, they began the event with the participation of their own youth team, Los Intoxicaditos. A children's murga that this year is celebrating its "25th Anniversary", a total of 59 members presided over by Cristina Santana and the musical direction of Francis García, a man with a lot of experience and composure to ensure that in each performance the little murgueros leave the bar very high
.Next, the 55 members of the Afilarmónica Los Tabletuos took to the stage, presided over by Aday Cedrés and musically directed by Crisanto Reyes, to later give way to the 35 members of the murga Las Pijoletas, who this year celebrate their "10th Anniversary", directed musically by Demelza Viña and presided over by Yurena Cabrera, continuing with the 45 members of the murga Las Inadaptadas musically directed and presided over by Cathaisa Cabrera. Each of the invited murgas participated by performing the presentation song and the farewell, not revealing any of the songs that they have so jealously reserved for their participation in the murga contest, also reserving another of the secrets corresponding to the fantasy that they will also leave for that event.
The presentation ceremony ended with the staging of the organizing murga, Los Intoxicados, the first murga created in Valterra in 1982 by young people excited to participate while expressing all the problems that existed in the neighborhood in those years. Especially the bad odors produced by the canning factories and many other needs that were lacking in those years. Los Intoxicados were the heralds of the Arrecife carnival in 2007, currently they have 32 members presided over by Ángel Manuel Pérez (Villai) and directed musically by Jonathan Peraza. This year they wear a fantasy called "Our little tribute tonight we offer, that is why I come disguised as a Mozart clown tonight", designed by Arniche Coronet. Los Intoxicados presented the public first with the presentation followed by the song entitled "The Trades", then the name of the "Murguero of the Year" was announced, a title that fell to Joshua Rivero.
The act ended with an emotional recognition to the colleague, Domingo Marrero for his involvement during "25 years", collaborating with the children's murga Los Intoxicaditos. The audience enjoyed each of the participating murgas, rewarding their performances with resounding applause.
