The twelfth edition of the Lanzarote Film Festival, held between November 24 and December 4, 2022, has recorded unprecedented results: audience attendance has been higher than in previous editions, the number of activities and professionals has increased, and the media and economic return has also experienced growth.

On the other hand, regarding the media impact, the event has had a greater projection than in previous editions, and has been valued by the specialized agency Kantar Media, leader in the sector, at almost two million euros.

The director of the Festival, Javier Fuentes, has pointed out that projects like this "have enormous social, educational and economic importance for the island", and contribute to "confirming that culture has a very positive impact."

This last edition of the Festival has been sponsored by the Cabildo de Lanzarote, the Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism, Canary Islands Film, the Canarian Institute of Cultural Development, the Government of the Canary Islands and the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts of Spain, among others. Likewise, the project had the collaboration of other entities such as Geoparque Lanzarote and Archipiélago Chinijo, the town councils of Haría, Teguise, Tías, San Bartolomé and Arrecife or Televisión Canaria.
