The Government of the Canary Islands declares a pre-alert for haze for all of the Canary Islands

In addition, the wind will be present in Lanzarote this Thursday, with maximum gusts exceeding 70 kilometers per hour.

The General Directorate of Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has declared a pre-alert for haze for all of the Canary Islands for this Thursday, based on the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet)

The haze episode arrives in the Canary Islands with a concentration of particles varying between the islands and in a range of between 50 and 100 micrograms per cubic meter on a daily average. A meteorological phenomenon that may generate health problems for people with chronic and/or respiratory diseases, according to the Government.

In addition, the wind will also be present in Lanzarote this Thursday. It will blow moderately from the southeast with some strong intervals mainly affecting the western slope during the morning and also on the island of La Graciosa. It may reach maximum gusts exceeding 70 kilometers per hour.

During Thursday, the skies will be clear, but with some occasional intervals of high clouds on the island. Temperatures will undergo few changes, with maximums of 25 degrees and minimums of 18 in Arrecife.
