The Municipal Theater of Tías will host the performance of the German choir Heart Chor, within the program of the San Antonio festivities. It will be this Sunday the 8th at 8:30 p.m. This choir, directed by Andy Dodt, will present an attractive program with rock and pop songs from the 1980s to 2013.
Heart Chor, made up of 62 people, was born in 2010 as a successor to the rock choir project led by Andy Dodt. Its precedent, the vocal group The Voice of Classic Rock, was created in 2006 and specializes in rock and pop songs from recent musical history.
The members of Heart Chor are between 20 and 60 years old and will contribute to this performance in the Tías theater with a professional choreography accompanied by an expressive song with up to six voices, according to the City Council.
Heart Chor was awarded in Munich, in 2011, with the award "Best Choir in Germany of Beatles songs" among a total of 240 participating choirs. Andy Dodt initiated and directed between 1992 and 1996, together with Juan Parrilla Medina, the "Cultural Exchange" project between Germany and Lanzarote. The then German Chancellor Helmut Kohl sponsored the project with the Cabildo of Lanzarote where numerous groups from Germany exchanged experiences with similar groups from Lanzarote.
Tickets for this performance at the Municipal Theater of Tías can be purchased at a price of 10 euros at Calzados Tonos (Avenida Central de Tías nº 31) and one hour before the event at the theater box office.
