The San Bartolomé City Council celebrated this Tuesday the traditional Christmas lunch for the elderly of the municipality. The day, in which 600 neighbors participated, began with an excursion through the nativity scenes of Yaiza and
Tías, to later enjoy lunch at the Monumento al Campesino. A day that concluded with a session of music and dance.

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, accompanied the attendees throughout the day, thanking them for their presence and conveying his "best wishes" during the Christmas season. Pérez valued the elderly of the municipality, whom he pointed out as "a fundamental part of San Bartolomé" and reaffirmed his "commitment" to continue working "from affection, with solidarity and tirelessly for our elders."

For her part, the Councilor for the Elderly, Carmen Medina, highlighted the "work" that the City Council is doing for the elderly and assured that "meetings like this are a fundamental part of sharing experiences with such a representative and important group in our municipality."

The day was framed within the acts of the 'Municipal Christmas Agenda 2023-2024', which will continue with its programming during the next days with different activities for all ages.
