Arrecife received this Saturday morning 31.2 liters in just one hour - according to the meteorological station of the Canary Islands Meteorology Agency (Acanmet) - and were enough to overflow several of its streets.
The downpour did not cause major incidents in traffic given the state of alarm in which the country is due to the coronavirus and the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) reported that the emergency services had to act in seven services, most of them derived from flooding of ground floors.
In the rest of the island, the rainfall was more timid. At the Lanzarote - César Manrique airport, just over 13 liters accumulated; in Tías, installed in La Asomada, it barely collected 2.4; and in Tinajo, 0.2.
Meteorology predicts for this Sunday cloudy intervals, in general, with the probability of weak rains.
