The Civil Guard celebrated the festivity of its patron saint, the Virgen del Pilar, this weekend and, for this, held an open day in Tías, which took place in the tent installed in front of the Municipal Sports Hall. The activities began on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Citizens were able to familiarize themselves with the units, equipment and personnel of this State Security Force.

In addition, they were able to see the equipment and the robot for the detection of explosives, the dog specializing in the location of drugs, as well as the equipment and endowments that the Civil Guard has on the island to carry out its services.

On Sunday, at 12:00 noon, the parade and institutional act took place, also next to the Tías Pavilion. The mayor of Tías, José Francisco Hernández, attended these open days of the Civil Guard.
