The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Department of Transportation coordinated by Marcos Bergaz, has authorized the implementation of the special bus service on the occasion of the San Roque festivities in the municipality of Tinajo.

Specifically, a special intercity regular passenger transport service has been decreed between the San Roque Parish stop and the Arrecife Bus Station, in the early morning of Monday, August 15.

On that day, the Transportation area authorizes the concessionaire company -Arrecife Bus S.L.- to have the Tinajo-Arrecife Line have a service at 04:00 hours from the San Roque Parish Stop and continuing the route with the following stops: La Tienda de Tiagua, La Caseta de Tao, Correos Mozaga, Cruce de San Bartolomé, Av. De Las Palmeras, Casa Ajei, Calle César Manrique, Argana Alta, Hospital General, Biblioteca Pública and Arrecife Bus Station.

The service fee will be that corresponding to the application of the current traveler-kilometer rate for that line, as stated in the resolution signed this week.

The transport company must provide a high-capacity passenger vehicle, thus guaranteeing safe mobility for attendees, also indicating from the Cabildo of Lanzarote that another bus should be available if necessary.

“For safe parties, use public transport and if you drink, don't drive for yourself and others. That is what we recommend to the people of Lanzarote who want to enjoy the popular festivities that take place this summer in different parts of the island”, says Marcos Pergaz. “To make this happen, we are enabling the lines that are necessary to cover especially the night routes”, he adds.

Another condition required by Transportation is that, due to the characteristics of the service, the Tinajo City Council must have the presence of the Local Police at the departures in order to guarantee order in the event of any incident that may occur.
