Around mid-morning, the surroundings of the Castle of San José were flooded with beauty. 27 boys awaited the arrival of the media to be presented. These are the candidates for Mister Las Palmas, which is being held for the first time on the Island of Volcanoes. The handsome men, although nervous about the proximity of the contest, have posed for the cameras with their best smiles.
The candidates will enjoy two days off before the official agenda begins. On Friday, September 8, a pre-gala will be held in the capital's pub "La Panadería". Although the day of the big event will be next Saturday, when one of the 27 handsome men will be chosen as Mister Las Palmas 2006.
The Gala will be held at Playa del Reducto at ten o'clock at night and will feature musical performances by Hueco, Almas Gemelas and Estrella. Well-known faces from the world of fashion and television will also attend, including Mister Spain, Juan García.
The contest has been organized by the Department of Festivities of the Arrecife City Council and by Cres del Olmo, delegate of Miss and Mister Spain in the provinces of Las Palmas and Tenerife.
