Ten young women from the south will compete for the title of Miss Yaiza

Ten girls will compete this Saturday for the title of Miss Yaiza, in a gala that will take place, starting at 9:00 p.m., on the Playa Blanca promenade. The young southern women will parade three times on stage: once dressed in casual clothes, another in a bikini, and finally, in an evening dress.

The Miss Yaiza aspirants are: Elisenda Tavío, 18 years old (Uga); Laura Romero, 21 years old (Playa Blanca); Nayara Fernández, 19 years old (Playa Blanca); Cristina Rodríguez, 22 years old (Playa Blanca); Odaly Herrera, 18 years old (Uga); Yenisei Díaz, 20 years old (Playa Blanca); Meritxell Toledo, 18 years old (Femés); Desiré Rojas, 18 years old (Playa Blanca); Tania de Agustín, 21 years old (Uga); and Joana Machín, 20 years old (La Hoya).

The jury responsible for choosing Miss Yaiza, the ladies-in-waiting, and also Miss Tourist Area, Miss Congeniality, and Miss Photogenic, is made up of Willy Díaz (designer), Tony Orosa (Tourism Board), Tamara Ramón (Miss Lanzarote 2010), Juan Manuel Perdomo (hospitality businessman), and Tony Villegas (makeup artist). The presenters will be Dayana González and Néstor Rodríguez.

As invited artists, the "Lanzarote Baila" Dance School, and the singers Acaimo Barco, Amaira Cedrés, Christian Morales, Carlota Camacho, and Fabio Martín will perform.
