The heat will continue this weekend in August in Lanzarote, with temperatures of up to 30 degrees. This has been foreseen by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), which expects the island to move away from the maximums of up to 34 degrees announced on the neighboring island of Gran Canaria.

Specifically, for Saturday, temperatures between 22 and 30 degrees are expected in the capital of Lanzarote. During the night, intervals of low clouds will predominate, which will turn into cloudy skies in the north of the island.

In addition, the presence of haze at high altitude and moderate northeast wind stands out, which may be occasionally strong in the southern interior of Lanzarote, with gusts that may exceed 70 kilometers per hour

Looking ahead to Sunday, the haze at high altitude will be present in the last hours of the day. While temperatures will remain unchanged or with slight increases

The trade wind will be moderate, occasionally strong on the southeast and northwest slopes.

It should be noted that, as La Voz already reported, temperatures will begin to rise on the island on Monday and a heat wave is expected to take place.
