On the night of last Friday, December 20th, the IV Charity Gala in favor of the Cáritas Parroquiales of Arrecife was held at the Atlántida cinema theater facilities. Once again, the public, responding to the call for solidarity, attended, filling the entire capacity, and many who could not attend participated by buying their ticket for row zero.
At 9:00 p.m., the curtain opened to give way to the students of the typical dance workshop directed by Carmen Gloria Brito, who performed a brief choreography of the "Garden of Flowers". Also passing through the stage were the singer Juanjo López, a group of seven young women, the young singer Eva Ruíz, the pianist Isaac Álamo, the new musical group "La Quinta Generación", the Arrecife choir, organizer of the Gala directed by Hernán Lorenzo, and the stellar performance of Chago Melián and Yanira Martín, a great harp virtuoso.
Without a doubt, everyone united for the same cause, to collaborate so that there is no shortage of a plate of food in the homes served by Cáritas Parroquiales of Arrecife. Don Miguel Hernández, parish priest of San Ginés, took to the stage to thank everyone, as did José Montelongo, deputy mayor of the Arrecife city council, and Joaquín Caraballo, vice president of the Lanzarote council, as sponsors of the gala. Among the audience was also the Minister of Social Services, Marciano Acuña. The night ended with all the artists on stage performing the famous song, Silent Night.
