Playa Blanca celebrated the welcome to summer by illuminating the southern sky with the release of five hundred lanterns on San Juan night in a spectacular setting enlivened by the lively music of the cover bands Inerxia from Lanzarote and Ni un Pelo de Tonto from Tenerife. Hundreds of residents and tourists participated in the magical party of light and rock organized by the Yaiza City Council through the Culture and Commerce areas led by Daniel Medina and Manuela Rodríguez, respectively.

The sunset accompanied the walk of dozens of people who traveled along the promenade from the Pechiguera area, on the one hand, and from Las Coloradas, from the other end of the coast, to join the celebration and converge on the small beach of the town.

Inerxia opened the southern San Juan program playing until after half past ten at night when the municipal staff distributed the lanterns to the public who lit them and released them simultaneously, leaving a beautiful image recorded in videos and photos that soon spread through social networks. With the first lanterns in the sky, another flight began, the musical journey of the band Ni un Pelo de Tonto, who closed the Night of San Juan with a golden touch, performing rock and also surprising the audience with touches of popular Spanish music.
