Maria del Mar Julios inaugurates the new Tías Health Center

The new Tías Health Center has opened its doors with a visit from the Minister of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, who toured all the facilities accompanied by the mayor of the municipality, José Juan Cruz Saavedra, among other political representatives. The building's construction has meant an investment of 3.4 million euros to the Ministry of Health and occupies a plot of 1,825 square meters, distributed over two floors and a basement.

On the ground floor are the Admission and Administration Area and the clinical sample extraction and collection room, the Pediatrics Area, with two pediatric and two multipurpose nursing consultations, waiting rooms, a lactation room and toilets; and the Women's Care Area, with a consultation for a midwife and a Maternal Education room.

The General Care and Emergency Area, also on the ground floor, has direct access from the outside and has a cardiopulmonary resuscitation room, emergency consultation, treatment room and observation area, as well as a rest area for staff. This floor is completed with a multipurpose and health education room.

On the first floor is the Adult Care Area, consisting of 5 medical consultations and 5 nursing consultations, a multipurpose consultation, a Social Work office, waiting rooms and toilets, a meeting room, changing rooms and a staff lounge. The medical records archive, warehouses and installation rooms are located in the basement.

The Tías Health Center has a staff of 8 family doctors, 2 pediatricians, 10 nurses, a midwife, a social worker, a nursing assistant and 6 administrative assistants.
