The Cultural and Social Association for Women, "Mararía" has presented this Tuesday the events it organizes for the celebration of International Working Women's Day, which is celebrated on March 8. Among these activities, the Collective Exhibition of Women Artists, which opens on March 4 in the Exhibition Hall of the Charco de San Ginés, at 8:30 p.m., stands out.
The president of the Association, Nieves Rosa Hernández, and the painters Itziar Álvarez, Any Ruiz Bernal and Cristina G. Temprano, responsible for the exhibition to be inaugurated, attended the presentation of the commemorative events, who also highlighted that on Tuesday, March 2, at 5:00 p.m., at the Sociedad Democracia, a talk will be held on the Prevention of Gender Violence, developed by technicians from the Association and representatives of various institutions on the island specialized in Gender Violence Prevention.
Violet ribbons and party
Two days later, the aforementioned inauguration of the painting exhibition will be held, and on Monday, March 8, both in the morning and in the afternoon, on Calle Real, in front of the Old Cabildo, violet ribbons will be distributed in commemoration of International Women's Day. To conclude the commemorative events, on Saturday, March 13, at 5:30 p.m. on the Biosphere Terrace, an "Island Meeting" will take place to celebrate the date with musical performances, snacks and the raffle of prizes.
