CD Magec Tías continues to fly the flag in the fight against gender violence. This commitment is visualized not only in the slogan of the highest-category women's team in the club, which competes in Women's League 2, but also encompasses multiple actions and represents one of the club's most important values.
The Tías club has produced an emotional video on the subject, in which various players from its teams participate, with the text of the poem 'Velvet and Silk' by the Canarian poet, Pino Betancort.
In addition, it has organized training talks and workshops in each of the entity's teams, both female and male, personalized according to their ages. Workshops have also been developed on equality in sports and inclusive language, as well as for the proper use of the internet and social networks.
The social commitment of CD Magec Tías will continue with training workshops with the club's base based on co-education or talks on sexual diversity, to continue working from sport in the formation of values that allow us to have a more egalitarian world regardless of the gender of the person.
It has also incorporated the slogan "Against Gender Violence" into its warm-up clothing, which they wear in every town in which they play throughout the national territory.
In 2016, the club received an award from the Government of the Canary Islands for its work in eliminating gender violence.
