The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has established a yellow warning for rain for the entire day this Monday in Lanzarote. The forecast is that from early Monday morning until early Tuesday morning the island could accumulate rain of up to 15 liters per hour.
Most of the rain would have arrived since 9:00 AM this Monday, according to what the Security and Emergencies Consortium has warned. Although the rains may come accompanied by storms in Lanzarote, only the western islands of the Canary archipelago will be under yellow alert also for storms.
Thus, it is expected that scattered strong and occasional showers will occur accompanied by storms throughout the day.
Nor is it expected that the rains leave the archipelago this Tuesday, without ruling out scattered showers and locally strong during the central hours of the day, with moderate southeast wind, which will subside throughout the afternoon.
