Social Services in Lanzarote will receive a total of 1,998,469 euros this 2022, 306,452 more than last year, representing an increase of 18.11%. This amount is part of the Agreed Plan of Basic Social Services, through which community social services and social care programs for the most vulnerable families in the municipalities are financed.

According to the Canary Islands Government, Arrecife will have an amount of 804,314 euros, which is "an increase of 110,484.49 euros compared to 2021."

By municipalities, Haría will receive a total of 157,923 euros within the framework of this Plan in 2022; San Bartolomé 199,623 euros; Teguise 274,406 euros; Tías 250,753 euros; Tinajo 142,890 euros and Yaiza 165,558.69 euros.

The Canary Islands Government points out that the Agreed Plan, whose fund distribution protocol has recently been signed between the Ministry of Social Rights, Equality, Diversity and Youth of the Canary Islands Government and the Canary Islands Federation of Municipalities (FECAM), amounts this year "to a global amount for the entire Archipelago of 41,294,742 euros, 6,047,428 euros more than in 2021 and more than double compared to 2019, when the investment reached 20,182,927 euros."

"Since we assumed this Ministry in the Canary Islands Government, we have increased the amount allocated to community social services each year, increasing funding to this protocol by 125% from the 18 million it had in 2018 to the more than 41 million euros in 2022," said the Minister of Social Rights of the Canary Islands Government, Noemí Santana, during the signing ceremony.

Through the signing of the Distribution Protocol of the Agreed Plan of Basic Social Services, the Canary Islands Government maintains that it guarantees "financial coverage of municipal social services and resources aimed at caring for families in situations of greater social vulnerability, such as the Canary Islands Insertion Benefit (PCI)."

In addition, the regional Executive assures that "home help services, social service centers, and day care centers or care for people in situations of social risk" are also guaranteed. Likewise, "the resources and programs for the necessary care of families and people in situations of poverty and social exclusion residing in the Islands" are also financed.
