The island of La Graciosa has been isolated this Thursday, January 19 due to bad weather. The pre-alert situation due to coastal phenomena and the forecast of waves of up to five meters have forced the maritime transport companies Líneas Romero and Biosfera Express to cancel all departures.
The maritime companies have confirmed to La Voz that connections will be restored this Friday, January 20.
In addition, Líneas Romero has not only canceled connections between Lanzarote and La Graciosa, but will also not make departures from the port of Playa Blanca.
However, both the Fred Olsen company and Naviera Armas will operate this Thursday with absolute normality.
Flights operating normally
The wind forecast for Lanzarote has not affected the departure and entry of flights at the César Manrique airport, according to Aena.
The General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has declared a pre-alert situation for wind starting this Friday, January 20 throughout the Autonomous Community.
In Lanzarote, moderate to strong wind is expected, more intense during the second half of the day, with gusts of 60 kilometers per hour that may occasionally reach 70.
