The Los Campesinos Folk Group inaugurated the new cultural project "ExpositivaCultural" in La Democracia. The vice president of the Society, José Luis Trujillo, welcomed the public present and then proceeded to inaugurate the exhibition. A sample in which several photos are collected in different formats from the beginnings of the Los Campesinos Folk Group years (1964-1974). Some of these photos in larger format hang on the walls of the Society's hall and others, in small format, are located in a display case.
Miguel Ángel Corujo, current director of Los Campesinos, also addressed the public and informed them of all the events that will be held for nine days. During this time, conferences and workshops will be given in the halls of the Democracia Society and at the headquarters of Los Campesinos, on Alfonso XII street s/n in Argana Baja. The conferences will be Pelotamano, games and Traditional Music; Rosettes, Elaboration of the Zaranda, demonstration and tasting of Gofio Amasado and Mojo Picón; Recital of Traditional Music and Dance by Los Campesinos and will end with the concert by the timple player Alexis Lemes, Adrián Niz and Yasuyo Tsuc
This exhibition, which will be during the first half of April, is a "recognition of all those women and men who, under the direction of Juan Brito Martín, supported the project, thus opening the furrows where, over the years, they have been materializing in one of the most important popular culture projects of the last 50 years, far from embroidery and sequins and attached to farm implements, wearing some zoletas and with a lot of claw and pride they danced with the zaranda, a representative symbol of the Peasant Family.
