José Manuel Fiestas Coll passed away in the early hours of this Tuesday, February 21, at the age of 84 after suffering a long illness.
In politics, José Manuel Fiestas Coll was a councilor in the Arrecife City Council for the CDS in the 1987-1991 term, and Minister of Industry and Energy of the Government of the Canary Islands in 1995 under the presidency of Manuel Hermoso.
He was an engineer and was head of the Technical Office of the Island Council of Lanzarote for decades. He leaves behind his wife, María Dolores Perdomo, and children José Manuel, secretary of the San Bartolomé City Council) Rafa and Lola.
