Jameos Quartet presented their album "Sonidos del Agua" on Thursday night at the restaurant of the Museum of Contemporary Art Castillo de San José. This album was recorded live on the same stage where they perform on Tuesday nights in Los Jameos del Agua. It includes eleven compositions of various genres and styles of world music performed by the timple players Alexis Lemes and José Vicente Pérez accompanied on guitar by Adrián Níz, on clarinet Ayoze Rodríguez, and Carlos Almaguer on percussion.
On the night of the presentation, the public was able to enjoy a concert in an ideal setting, where the five musicians gave it their all. They performed each of the eleven songs recorded to which they added some more at the request of those present who enthusiastically asked them to continue playing. Among the themes that were played were Libertango, Tears in Heaven, Miss Rowan Davies and they also incorporated a song of Canarian roots such as folías, isa and seguidillas to which a touch of fusion was added, achieving a different and innovative sound. The five musicians that make up "Jameos Quartet" are very excited and bet that the work presented will last over time, beyond the echoes of memory and the complicit stones that, together with the public, come every Tuesday night to Los Jameos del Agua to enjoy what they do best, music.
"Sonidos del Agua" is produced by the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers of the Cabildo de Lanzarote in which there are some of the best themes with the "Jameos Quartet". It has surprised the public that has accompanied them during the more than five years that they have been performing in the "Nights of Jameos".
