"All the tickets, the 2,200, are sold out. What's more, they disappeared in the first days of going on sale, and Walt Disney's show is already a Christmas classic in Teguise and a must for all parents on the Island," says the Councilor for Festivities of the Teguise City Council, Oswaldo Betancort. This Friday, January 7, there will be two screenings of the Hércules Children's Festival in the municipal tent of La Villa, the first at 6:30 p.m. and the second at 8:30 p.m.
The team of artists from the H 10 Lanzarote Garden group will be in charge of giving life to the son of Zeus. This group began working with Teguise since Christmas 2006, when they staged "Beauty and the Beast." Every year they have an overwhelming success and their performance has become part of the Christmas of the chinijos of the Island.
The director of the play, Rubén Aspiazu, points out that this year they have 25 actors, "who have a lot of prominence, because in this musical the music and dance stand out even more than in previous editions." He also adds that "the stage is minimalist because the staging is in gospel key and we want the voices to be the most prominent of the night." The group has been rehearsing non-stop for a month and is very excited about the expectation that their shows arouse on the Island.
On the same day of the performance, minutes before the two screenings, 10 percent of the tickets that the regulations of the shows mark will be put on sale at the box office.
