The historic rally driver Francisco Lemes, known as El Menda, has passed away this Friday in Lanzarote.
Francisco Lemes, who dedicated his life to his passion for motorsport, also focused on supporting the sports careers of his children, Samuel and Yeray Lemes.
According to La Voz, after overcoming different pathologies, Lemes has unexpectedly passed away this February 14.
Last summer of 2024, this historic island driver was honored together with the mayor of Tinajo, and also rally driver, Jesús Machín, in the celebration of the second edition of the Motor Festival that was held in San Bartolomé.
