The fishermen of La Santa and biologists from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria have traveled back to the island of Sal, in Cape Verde, to teach local fishermen how to fish for soldier shrimp or La Santa shrimp in Lanzarote.
For this purpose, they previously moved a container loaded with the material necessary for this type of fishing to Cape Verde. The trip will last eight days on the island of Sal and, in February, they will travel for a week to the island of Boa Vista.

With this last week, the six trips to Cape Verde that have been made to teach fishermen how to fish for soldier shrimp, using the technology used by the fishermen of La Santa, will be completed.
This project carried out by the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and fishermen from La Santa is subsidized by the World Bank of Credit to developing countries.
