Carolina Hernández Curbelo was elected Miss Tinajo 2017 this Saturday in a gala held at 9:30 p.m. on the occasion of the La Vegueta festivities. In this beauty contest, Denisa Popa Paula was also recognized, who won the crown of Miss La Vegueta 2017, and María Gutiérrez Rodríguez, who became Queen of the Fiestas de Regla.
On the other hand, the jury awarded Lilian Cruz García the title of First Lady of Honor and Laura Delgado Rocío the title of Second Lady.
After the celebration of the contest, the residents of La Vegueta were able to enjoy a festival enlivened by Quimera Band and Lanzarote Swing, within a festival that began on June 25 and will continue until July 9.

The La Vegueta festivities will continue this Wednesday, July 5, with the nutrition and health workshop "The elephant in the room (shopping basket and health)", which will be held at 8:00 p.m. and will feature the scientific journalist Félix A. Morales as speaker. One day later, on Thursday at 9:00 p.m., the residents of La Vegueta will be able to enjoy the Drag Queen Gala.
On Friday, the town will once again host a talk at 8:00 p.m., which in this case will be about the "History of Wrestling", by José Manuel Pitti González. Afterwards, there will be a wrestling match and a performance by the parranda Los Gurfines del Puerto.
During the morning of Saturday, July 8, the XXIV Rally Sprint Tomás Viera will be held, while at 9:00 p.m. the comedian Omayra Cazorla will perform on the occasion of the festivities of Nuestra Señora de Regla. That same day, attendees will be able to participate in the La Vegueta adult playback and, afterwards, enjoy the festival by the Kimera Band and Naiyimbe orchestra. Finally, on Sunday there will be a playback, in this case, for the little ones.
