The town of Tahíche is celebrating the festivities in honor of Santiago Apóstol and Santa Ana. Last Friday, the musical show with the performances of Calicanto and Taburiente took place in the sports court of the C.S.C. Santiago El Mayor. The first to take the stage were the 22 women of the musical group Calicanto. A group that after its two years of existence, has gained a lot of experience on stage, easily managing to infect the public with the joy that it gives with its songs. For this occasion, they chose a varied repertoire of boleros, tangos and rancheras to which the public, very dedicated, rewarded them with numerous applause.

Immediately afterwards, the legendary band from La Palma, Taburiente, took the stage. On this occasion, they presented their new project entitled "40 Years and More". A musical where Luis Morera, Miguel Pérez, José Eduardo Martín and Carlos Martín accompanied by great music professionals, support them with percussion, timple, keyboards, fax, trumpet, contra and bass. With this musical project, Taburiente wants to bring it closer to all the islands and the towns that make them up. They only need to visit the legendary island of El Hierro, since on Saturday the 18th they performed in La Graciosa. Every time Taburiente visits Lanzarote, its soloist, already a legend, Luis Morera takes advantage of some of the spaces between song and song to mention the love and affection he feels towards the island and its people, without forgetting his great friend, our universal artist César Manrique. After almost two hours of concert and with a dedicated audience, Taburiente said goodbye with great applause.
